Dad's Carmels

Melt 2 cubes of butter
Add 2 cups of sugar
1 cup of Karo syrup
1 cup of heavy cream

Bring to 260 degrees on a candy thermometer or a little
less if you can form a ball in a cup of water.
Put it in a buttered pan.
Enjoy

My dad came from a family of ten kids, yes I said 10! This
was a favorite growing up, but he had to hide them because they didn't
get very much extra food with 10 children as you can imagine. He would
even hide it under his bed just so the others wouldn't find it.
